This Sunday @ Locust Hill UMC

We will continue our series on the "Christian Family" this Sunday. Last week we talked about that every family is broken.Yes your family and my family. No family can build walls high enough for which sin can't invade. We all have drama and conflict that exists within our family. We all have behaviors that are highly toxic. What we know from scripture is that it is going to take a big does of God's grace for our families to flourish and succeed, which means a considerable amount effort and feat will be required on our parts.

This week and next week we will be talking about children. Children are one of the most valuable entities of every family. At our best we can raise our children in a loving, caring, affirming environment and at their worst a family can be a place of emotional chaos. This is why we should look deeply into how we raise our children and how we as parents, uncles, aunts, friends, and extended family behave around our children.

We will be destroying the myth "do as I say not as I do." Because the truth is that your children are sponges and they will do what you do. They will act like you act. They will parent like you parent. So why not be a positive force for good in their life. Now is not to late. Today is the day for which we live into God's grace.

Looking forward to seeing you and your family,
Jason
